PRESIDENT - Dave Zaval Dave is the President and owner of The Whittemore Co. He also manages a territory and specific, larger accounts for the company.
Mr. Zaval purchased The Whittemore Co. in 2001, and is its fourth owner since the company's founding in 1918. Although not part of the Whittemore family, Dave has upheld the traditional values of the company, including integrity, ethical behavior, good old-fashioned hard work, and results-oriented representation. "The Whittemore Co. has a rich heritage with over 89 years of history as our foundation. The Whittemores and Ed Meissner (the company's former owners) have done an excellent job over the years of building our relationships and reputation in the field. My objective is to continue these traditions which have been our hallmarks, while continually developing our expertise, coverage, and relationships in our core markets. I am also determined to strategically use technology to enhance our efficiency." Dave's duties include strategy, direction, and sales management, as well as bearing responsibility for sales & technical issues, customer support, project management, and troubleshooting within his personal account base. Dave comes to Whittemore with over 30 years of metal-cutting and manufacturing industry experience. These include 6 years as a tool/mold maker, 13 years as a sales and technical representative, and 11 years as an executive manager for an industrial distributor.
